The Cambridge Christian Academy will provide active challenge to your student and will help them to be become Christ-revering slaves. To make this happen, we think that helping students to incorporate their faith into their daily routine is crucial. Through the use of our curriculum and mentorships, we can fulfill our goal in five different, yet equally important ways.

We should strive to instill a reasonable faith into our children. Students should be encouraged to ask the questions now rather than waiting for a predicament later in life. We will all ask the questions at some point, so the goal is to be prepared to face our challenges head-on with a faith that belongs to us. We believe that it is essential to foster a lasting faith within our students through reflective questioning and open dialogue.

Another way to gain faith is to make faith a integral part of your life. The gospel is important for students to learn. Our students must be ready to live their faith and part of that might mean spending some time living the life of those in need through volunteerism at places like Habitat for Humanity, Cardboard City and Manna Market, just to name a few. Our children should have the ability to deal with whatever surroundings they encounter and accomplish the task they have with success as representatives of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We ought to exemplify our belief. We attract people by our way of life and as teachers, in order to own what we teach we must live it in front of our students. Most kids don’t remember all the specific knowledge taught in the classroom, but they do remember their teachers. They witness their mentors embodying faith – it is genuine. In Deuteronomy Chapter six, we find that faith is installed in all life. These teachable moments can be used to show our faith. As students see the life-on-life faith of their mentors, there is a greater chance that they will embrace that same faith in their own lives.

Students need to develop a discerning faith. We promote not an open mind, nor a closed mind, but rather a discerning mind. A student’s moral thinking is awakened with our aim and fervor. While not forcing our beliefs on a child, we can at least set them on a path.

We look for a faith that consumes our whole lives. It is essential that students see that the significant adults in their lives are totally immersed in their faith. Martin Luther called it the Trauma of Holiness. Piousness is becoming less and less common, and children should experience it as well as the presence of God; they should revere and honor him. When we discover God’s true majesty, we can bring Him into our world. If you need inspiration look to your local students who show their dedication to the Gospel by actively serving their Lord in their homes, school, and community.

With Thanksgiving Season approaching, we are thankful for God’s given opportunity to our students to build their faith in a positive environment. Thank you to the parents, grandparents and special sponsors who continue to believe that Cambridge Christian School makes a difference in children’s lives. We need you, so we can mode our future’s Christian leaders here in the now.
